Behind the Scenes

2009 marks the debuts of the Newbees, BritBeat, and Union Jack, who have stayed with us for a very long time and have been part of some fantastic concerts. (If you're reading this very closely and if you want to know a secret: BritBeat is coming back in 2023.)

Special thanks to the Newbees for their great concerts over the years and to Dave Lempke of Union Jack, who has curated dozens of midnight shows and other theme shows and has been an essential consultant to me.

For the 40th anniversary of Abbey Road, Hal Bruce with The Backwards and Rachel Blanton created an amazing concert called Abbey Road Supersized. I think the medley section of that concert ran 20 minutes by itself. It was again another tremendous musical achievement from Hal.
