Peaceful Easy Laurel Canyon Tribute
And Special Guest Tricia Freeman
In the late 1960s, Laurel Canyon, a quirky little neighborhood in the Hollywood Hills, became ground zero for some of the most legendary music of the era. Picture it: shaggy-haired rock stars and free-spirited folk singers living in funky, mismatched houses, swapping guitars, drugs, partners (and occasionally food), all while crafting songs that would define a generation.
The scene drew artists like The Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young, Linda Ronstadt, Mamas and Papas, Joni Mitchell, Jim Morrison, Mickey Dolenz, and even Frank Zappa, all of whom somehow managed to turn their groovy hangouts into chart-topping magic.
The Laurel Canyon sound left a lasting mark, proving that, sometimes, all it takes to make music history is a guitar, a hammock, and a really good view of Los Angeles from Lookout Mountain.”
