The Black Ties

The Black Ties are heavily inspired by the early Beatles era and their musical influences. Brian and Andrew are brothers, and they loved the 1960’s era of rock. While studying music, Brian and Andrew met Ben and Anthony, who were also like-minded musicians. The four lads officially joined as a quartet in 2018.

The Black Ties perform at various venues in the New York/New Jersey Metro area, and along the Jersey Shore. In 2019, The Black Ties attended The Fest For Beatles Fans in Jersey City, competing in the Battle of the Bands. They performed “Twist and Shout” to thunderous applause, winning the competition. They played “All My Loving” as an encore to a standing ovation, cementing them as feature performers of The Fest For Beatles Fans in Jersey City.

The Black Ties participated in the documentary “Here, There, and Everywhere”, all about the generations of Beatles fans, and their perspectives as writers, artists, and musicians. Social Media Producer, Natalie Palumbo, filmed their segment. Her goal was to capture The Black Ties natural humor and charisma as musicians, which is very reminiscent of the early Beatles.

The Black Ties cover The Beatles and the musicians that inspired them to play rock n’ roll while expanding their catalogue of original music.
